COOKIE OF FIRST OR THIRD PART

Cookies can be first or third party, where "first party" means cookies developed by the owner of the site itself, while "third party" means cookies developed by Third Party compared to the owner of the site.

NATURE OF COOKIES

With regard to the nature of cookies, there are several types:

1. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the provider of an information company service explicitly required by the subscriber or user to provide this service.

They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or website manager. Can be divided into:

– navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the site;

– cookie analytics, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate, about the number of users and how they visit the site itself, in order to improve the performance of the site;

– feature cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of the users (more information in the section Cookie Management below).

PROFILING COOKIES

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating user-related profiles and are used to send advertisements in line with the user's preferences in the context of network browsing.
The consent of the person concerned is required to use the profiling cookies. According to the measure, No. 229 of 8 May 2014 the user must be able to authorize or deny consent to the installation of profiling cookies if they are present.

In the case of third party cookies, the site does not have a direct control of individual cookies and cannot check them (it cannot either install them directly or delete them). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or the sites listed in the "Manage cookies" section.

COOKIE DURATION

Cookies have a duration dictated by the expiration date (or by a specific action such as closing the browser) set at the time of installation. Cookies can be:

session cookies: they are used to store temporary information, link actions taken during a specific session, and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed;
persistent cookies: They are used to store information, such as the login name and password, to prevent the user from having to retype them each time they visit a specific site. These remain stored on your computer even after you close your browser.
The C.D. session cookies, once the connection to this website is finished, are not retained. The computer systems used for this site use both temporary cookies and persistent cookies.

COOKIE Management

You can disable cookies on websites by downloading software such as Ghostery for your browser and disabling the use of individual cookies. Or you can turn on "anonymous browsing" mode – it's a feature that allows you to browse without a trace in the browsing data browser. This feature only allows you not to keep the browsing data in the browser.

Alternatively, you can disable/delete cookies by accessing your browser's configuration panel.
